I live close to Brighton, within about 20 miles, and I lived there before, during, and for a little while after I attended university at Falmer. I think it’s one of the coolest cities out there, bohemian and packed with style. There is an undercurrent of seediness, but in all the years I lived there I never felt unsafe and it’s a great place to be a student, if you can afford it.
Today was special – a rare morning off and I was determined to make the most of it. You guessed – this involved photography and I find it impossible to leave a camera at home if I have an outing. I always carry something, I never want to miss recording a scene which makes me stop and stare, even if that scene might appear mundane to most. Photography is simply about how you see the world around you.
Today my outing involved a trip to Brighton’s Sea Life Centre, which was pretty amazing (you can see the shots HERE on our dedicated animal photography site) but on the way out I couldn’t resist capturing some shots from the sea front as we walked back to the car.
