The Photography Show, NEC Birmingham March 2015
It was fantastic when Olympus asked me to form part of their professional speaker lineup at the Photography Show. This is an amazing event attracting thousands of amateur and professional photographers from around the country and overseas. My lecture, entitled ‘Any Animal, Any Place’ was a sell-out which is the most wonderful compliment any speaker can receive. It was great to meet the photographers who attended my class, and fun to be interviewed by the local television channel.

Lindsay Joins Olympus – June 2014
Becoming a brand ambassador is widely regarded as one of the pinnacles of a photographer’s career. We only have to think of some of the big names associated with leading camera firms, in fact David Bailey has long been the face of Olympus until fairly recently. Now that the photography market has grown, Olympus now has ambassadors representing the main genres of photography, such as Damian McGillicuddy (world-renowned fashion photographer). I’m delighted to have been invited to join the ambassador team in recognition of my animal portraits. I’ve been a full-time independent Olympus user for the past couple of years and therefore I’ve been able to form an in-depth and unbiased opinion regarding Olympus equipment, and the many benefits associated with adopting a smaller mirrorless system. You can see the Olympus ambassadors here: Olympus Photographers.

As part of my role as a Fellow and seminar speaker within The Societies I was recently interviewed by Imagemaker magazine. It is always fantastic to be featured in a leading photography journal and it’s no exaggeration to say that inclusion in Imagemaker is both an honour and a privilege. The magazine is available as part of a Societies membership or can be obtained separately on subscription here: Professional Imagemaker
Featured in Photo Professional Magazine, February 2014, Issue 90
It’s great to see animal portraiture gaining more and more recognition and I recently enjoyed talking to Photo Professional magazine about my approach to pet and animal photography. Photo Professional is one of the U.K.’s leading photography journals and if you’re a serious image maker then this magazine is hard to beat.
Featured in Olympus Magazine, December 2013
It’s always nice to have the opportunity to talk about some of the more relaxing and tranquil imagery from the past year. Along with a few other professional photographers I’ve added my thoughts to December’s Olympus magazine.

Something very special arrived in the post today …… the Associate Panel in portraiture has been almost 2 years in the making and it’s hard to describe the feeling of accomplishment when such a Panel of images meets with the approval of some of the toughest judges in the world, in this case the Fellows of the British Institute of Professional Photography. This membership card is of course accompanied by a very beautiful Certificate and an enormous sense of achievement. Whilst gaining a Licentiate can be tough, the higher distinctions of Associate and Fellow must show more than technical skill – the judges expect the photographer to demonstrate creative vision and a definable personal style within a cohesive printed body of work. Only photographers who have progressed through and passed the relevant distinction examinations may display the designatory letters after their name.
