frequently asked questions

How do I book a session with you?

Pick up the phone or drop us an email. We’ll have a good chat so you’re fully aware of how our service works and the costs. Your booking is confirmed once we’re received your reservation fee (this is non-refundable, notwithstanding distance selling regulations)

What areas do you cover?

Most of our clients are in West Sussex, East Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire. We’ve worked with clients in Chichester, Brighton, Horsham, Worthing, Crawley, East Grinstead, and Guildford

What’s your photographic style?

Natural and spontaneous. During each session I’ll aim to shoot a range of photographs including some controlled portraits as well as more relaxed and candid images

What kind of people do you photograph?

I photograph people of all kinds, of all ages. This includes families, children, business people, couples, teens, models, babies and family pets. In fact we have a separate dedicated website purely for pet and animal photography

Where will my shoot take place?

I work on location rather than in a studio. Clients’ homes and gardens are a popular starting point, and/or at suitable scenic places such as a relaxing walk around a woodland, beach, or an urban environment

How long does the session last?

For up to 4 participants or family members please allow around two hours (a bit longer if we’re moving between locations). It’s best to set aside half a day in fact. If you have a large group or if your needs fall beyond the scope of this please get in touch for a tailored price

Does the session fee include any photos?

No. Your session fee covers our travel (within 20 miles) and around 2 hours of photography on location. There’s a mileage charge if you’re more distant than that, and a charge if you’re more than an hour away from us. We don’t charge for the hours we spend editing and processing your images, or your viewing and product consultation. Your photos are then purchased separately as wall pieces and albums

How long does it take before I can see the pictures?

For our standard sessions allow two or three weeks for post production and proofing. We'll then arrange for you to visit us at our home office in Storrington, West Sussex to view the images and choose your products (please note that during covid-19 restrictions viewing sessions will take place via Zoom)

What sort of products do you sell?

Everything from fabulous wall presentations (including classic bespoke mounting and framing, modern canvases and framed canvases) to fine quality handmade albums

How long does it take for products to arrive?

All of our goods are hand crafted to order and we suggest allowing 3 to 4 weeks for wall items and up to 6 weeks for our heirloom albums

Can I just buy a pack of loose prints or a small desk frame?

I'm afraid not, we offer a bespoke service investing many hours in each customer and we would be running at a considerable loss if we offered unframed photographs or a desktop print in the first instance

What are your Christmas final ordering deadlines?

Album orders need to reach us no later than 14th November, wall art orders before 5th December, and folio boxes by 20th November. We’ll need at least 7 working days to design an album and a few days to prepare your images for each piece of wall art
