Pet Portraits

Pet photography is a big part of what I do. So much so that I have a separate pet and animal photography website (click the button above if you’d like to visit our pet portrait site).

I’m proud to have gained many leading industry awards over the years for animal imagery including Pet Photographer of the Year (The Societies).

Background

With over a decade and a half as a full time professional photographer, I’ve also spent 4 years as a brand ambassador for Olympus UK. I’ve acted as a trainer and mentor for the Olympus Protégés campaign and I’ve been a speaker at international photography conventions such as The Photography Show (held at the NEC in Birmingham each year) and The Societies Convention.

About our Pet Portrait Service

My approach to animal and pet portraiture is to keep it natural, spontaneous and fun - with some controlled images to cover the formal options. We’ll often start at the pet’s home and then proceed to a favourite walk or outing. I tell stories with my photographs and the results of my pet photo shoots are rather like the results of my family photo shoots - perfect for a wall art collection and an heirloom album. Our gorgeous product range for pet photo shoots is exactly the same as that for our human customers.

I don’t just photograph domestic pets. I photograph rare farm and livestock breeds and unusual or exotic animals too. As well as cats, dogs and horses I’ve photographed birds, giant millipedes, sheep, goats, rodents, polecats and exotic ‘kept animals’ in zoos, sanctuaries and private collections. Commercial clients are very welcome to get in touch if you need animal photography for your business.
